In 2020, Raymond moved from Wisconsin back home to Long Island to be closer to family. He owned a New York-style pizza restaurant in Wisconsin, and wanted to continue his dream and bring his family recipes to Massapequa. He focused his ideas on building a new and improved version of his restaurant but this time, with the help of his amazing and supportive family.
About Us
Sgambati's Pizza is family-made and family-run. Our story unfolded over 1,000 miles away in a quaint town in Wisconsin when Raymond Sgambati was unable to find a single place that served pizza by the slice and to his surprise, a “pie” was something served with ice cream on top. He knew what the mid-western town so desperately needed and built his ultimate dream, “Sgambatis New York Pizza”. Sgambati spent months perfecting recipes that were passed down to him as well as creating his very own. After 13 successful years, and hundreds of pizzas made, Sgambati knew it was time to come back home.
In 2020, Raymond finally returned home to New York. He focused his ideas on building a new and improved version of his restaurant but this time, with the help of his amazing and supportive family. Damian Sgambati, the youngest brother, and co-owner jumped aboard along with Marisa Sgambati and Ilisa Haimes to bring this restaurant to life. Sgambati’s Pizza is focused on sharing its familial love with Massapequa as well as filling the bellies of the community.“We are so excited to share our family with yours!”
